Interest Charges Delinquency in Paying SSS Loan

After making an SSS loan or at least for some who want’s to make sure, the next big question would be what are the payment terms of your loan. Some would also possibly ask about what penalties will be incurred in case you are not able to pay on time or if you fail to pay the loan based on the terms stated in months or years as part of the SSS loan program. Below are some guidelines about loan charges and payment questions.
SSS Loan Payment Guide
- The one-month or two-month salary loan shall be payable within two (2) years in 24 equal monthly installments.
Salary Loan Interest charges
- The loan shall be charged a nominal interest of 10% per annum / year. First year’s interest shall be deducted in advance from the proceeds of the loan. Second year’s interest shall be included in the monthly amortizations.
Delinquency Interest
- If a member fails to pay the SSS loan amortization remittance on due date, the said loan shall bear a penalty of 1% per month which is called the delinquency interest.
Services Fee
- While some of you didn’t mind about any additional charges on your loan if you fail to pay on time, there is actually another form of payment which you should make if that is the case. Please note that a service fee of 1% of the loan amount shall be charged and deducted from the proceeds of the loan.

I have heard that there is condemnation of penalty charges for the interest for loans not paid for more than a year. I would like to know if this is correct. I would like to avail of it so that I can pay the remaining amount of my due. My SSS number is 06-1683822-6.

Delinquency Interest
1. If a member fails to pay the SSS loan amortization remittance on due date, the said loan shall bear a penalty of 1% per month which is called the delinquency interest.
*** pls clarify, the 1% per month refers to the loaned amount? or 1% of the monthly amortizations?
It is clear po as mentioned na “the said loan” which means that it is the principal loan we are talking about. What is odd however is that the interest you pay will be included in the principal amount as you fail to pay on time and on due date. So be sure to pay right on time and on or before the due date.
i just want to ask po kung pano po pag nawala ung resibo ng sss loan, babayaran ko po b ulit un? and magkano po ba ung exact amount na babayaran ko? month po na february ang nawala at umalis na po ung empleyado ng month ng march, 481.25 po ang monthly amortization nya..tnnx

Hihingi ka lang ng copy ng resibo na nawala kung naifile mo na ang said receipt pero kung hindi pa, saang bank ka ba nagbayad, pwede ka hingi ng copy sa kanila or kung saan ka nagbayad na authorized SSS payment center.

hindi mo hihingin ang original na resibo sa bangko,,, kailangan mo lang ng kopya or photocopy nito sabihin mo sa teller na kausap mo. At yung issue ng hindi nagpapareceive e di pumunta na lang po kayo sa ibang branch kung saan nagrereceive kasi po wala pong ibang way e kung hindi ang ma-receive ang resibo nyo para malaman nila na paid na nga kayo.

i had a delinquent salary loan years back and wasn`t able to complete the payment after i went out of the country.ten years passed,i renewed my contributiont up to one thousand four pesos per month.would it be possible for SSS to deduct the previous remaining loan amount and due interest from this new contributions i had given and still consider this new contributions threafter to be part of my pension as planned?pls.note that after contact with SSS i had changed my status as voluntary member ofw.pls. help me iron up my problem concerning that previous salary loan so i wont have problems in the future.moreover.i want to avail of the flexi plan program you have but to qualify ,i must pay the maximum bracket to SSS,which i have no idea as to how much would it be.PLEASE HELP!thank yuo so much for your time and GOD bless you.

hi ask ko lang po , kasi akala ko po bayad ana ako ng loan ko noon pang 1996 seaman po ako ang agency ko po dito ay sa avangarde, akala ko po ay diniduck nila yon s aallotement ko kasi salary deduction po , tapos nalipat ang employer namin ng ibang agency nasa ptc na po ako ngayon tapaos gusto ko sanang mag loan tapos may lumabs na may loan pa raw ako pano po ba yon ? hindi po ba hinulog ng dati kong agency ang bayad ko sa loan ko sa sss, pano po , yon dapat ko po bang balika o puntahan ang dati kong agency na sila ang pag bayarin sa natirang loan ko? non stop pom ang pag babarko ko , . kaya imposible po na di mabayaran 6 yo 9 months po ang kontrata ko , pano po yon ? sino po ang dapat mag bayad noon ? salamat po
Hello, i would like to inquire kung pwede po ba bayaran unti unti yun di ko nabayaran na balance salary loan ko since 2006 ang natatandaan ko i have a balance na 3,500 something,,, may amnesty po ba kayo para mabawasan o lumiit and salary loan balance ko, nawalan kasi ako ng work at now lang nakakapagumpisa uli, may 55 contributions akong nahulog after my 2006 employer.(1994-2006 contributions)
