So how do you really continue your SSS contribution if you haven’t been able to pay for it in months or in some cases, for years? Here is a short tip so that you may know. Now, there are surefire reasons why you would ever want to continue with paying your monthly remittance to the Social Security System agency in the Philippines.

The first reason is so that later on, you could be able to file for a bigger loan to use for whatever purpose it may serve you and your family and personal needs. The second most popular reason is because you are soon going to reach your retirement age of 60 years old and for some security reasons, you wanted to reactivate your account knowing that you will receive a bigger monthly pension later on for being an active paying member of the SSS in the Philippines.
Now, with the top 2 reasons I have listed and explained above, it would become self-explanatory to most SSS members that it is a good thing to decide while it’s not too late to reactivate or continue paying your monthly dues to this agency of the Philippine government. I hope I made it clear to all who might find this post as all I wanted was to give some light to those who are having a hard time to understand and comprehend why it is important to active or reactivate a delinquent/stagnant and left alone member account with the SSS.

Let’s go to the main dish.. If you want to continue to pay the monthly remittance amount to SSS, you have to first know which category you might qualify for. If you have a business and you also have the necessary documentary requirements that the SSS will ask from you based on their standards, you can qualify for a self-employed status and pay probably a bit higher than those who opt in for the voluntary contribution.
After knowing which category you fall, you are ready to pay and everything else has been arranged including the requirements that you will have to give or pass to the agency, the last thing you should give importance to as I’ve previously mentioned above is the amount of contribution you are either willing to pay or you can afford to pay.

as far as i can recall i’ve been an SSS member since late of 1980’s. i have avail maternity benefits (twice already 1993 and 2004 ) i have resigned from my employer 6 yrs ago,I dont have any idea on how many contributions i had, as a longtime member of yours,my concern is can i still avail maternity benefits? although im not employed anymore? pls let me know how,. and im still intrested to continue my sss contribution as self employed this time. tnks & more power to SSS.

ang dapat ay isa lang ang sss # at pedeng pede mo ituloy ang contribution mo kya lang u need to go to any sss branch sa pilipinas for verification ng status mo, tpos pede ka rin pumili kong magkano ang gusto mong contribution at papaano ka makakapag bayad even nasa abroad ka. normally like me sa mga authorized na padalahan (like Iremit) ako nagpapadala malalaman mo din ang iba pang list ng authorized na padalahan sa sss branches sa pilipinas tpos makikita mo din kung pumapasok yong mga binabayad mo at sa website nila mo makikita yan na kailangan eh mag register ka muna online sa website din nila kya lang sila din ang magsasabi papaano ka makaka register kc meron silang ibibigay na code pra sa pag register mo, i hope nakatulong ako God bless!!!
