There are actually 2 parts comprising the SSS maternity benefit for housewives in the Philippines. If you are asking how to avail of this benefit as a Social Security System member, we will get to that later on or probably in the next post. In the meantime, here are important information for those who want to avail of this benefit.

Paano po magclaim ng maternity benefits?Presently I am residing here in Doha Qatar,9 months pregnant now on my second child.This is my first time to file maternity claim as I did’nt file on my first pregnancy. I went to OWWA office here to inquire about any SSS representative and they told me that there is no SSS representative here in Doha Qatar.One of the staffs there suggested me to let one of my relatives there in Philippines to process it for me. Is that possible?How will it be filed?

Ask q lng po member po aq ng sss as voluntary napatigil po ang hulog year 2010. Ngaun po ay nabuntis po aq at nanganak last Dec. 10, 2012 via c/s. Makakapag claim po ba aq ng maternity khit na naputol ang hulog q. Pang 2nd baby q na po ito ang 1st baby q po ay normal delivery aq year 1997. At 2nd baby q po ito via c/s. Thank you so much po. good day po mam/sir kaylan o po makukuha yung sa maternity ko last May, 31 2012 pa po ako nanganak at nag file po ako last January at hanggang ngayun po wala pa anu pa po ba ang kulang kung requirments? At nag online naman po ako meron ng CHK NO. at nakalagay DENIED… anu po gagawin ko?

hanggang ilan po ang availability of children ng sss, 3 na po ang anak ko, kailangan po ba continous ang monthly cont. ko para maka avail ulit ng maternity, sa 208.00 na hulog ko monthly,magkano po ang matatangap ko at ano po ang rules and regulation sa pag file. thanks

6 weeks pregnant po ako then miscarriage po ako,mkk avail po b ako ng benefits

If you are updating your contributions regularly (and have not skipped a payment), then you most likely have paid the required number of monthly contributions to qualify. To determine this, take your estimated month of delivery and know which semester it falls under.By semester it means:Two consecutive quarters ending in the quarter of contingency, where a quarter refers to three consecutive months ending March, June, September or December.For example, if your expected month of delivery is November 2012. November falls under the 4th quarter (Oct-Nov-Dec). Then include the quarter preceding that, which is the 3rd quarter (Jul-Aug-Sep). From July, count 12 months backward:

This means that from July 2011 to
June 2012, you must have paid at least 3 monthly contributions in order to qualify for maternity benefit. Otherwise, your maternity benefit application will be rejected.

Hi Good Morning I am currently employed and is an expectant mom. my due will be on Oct 17, 2017. I have already submitted my requirements to avail of the said benefits. now, my question is for example I was given 2 months leave for my maternity but what if after giving birth I suddenly applied for another work example gave birth October and was hired to another company to start working by November will I have any problem with my SSS?

Hello. Bkit kaya ang tagal dumatung ng maternity ko. Mg 2 months na naipasa sa sss. Hangang ngayon wla pa din balita. Ang sabi 1month nandyan na. Pero yung sakin mmaya 2months na naipasa wla padin.
